What is the feeling of the song?
Do you think the song would have changed people’s opinions in the 60’s? Would it change people’s opinions now?
Why do you think he made the song sound so bouncy, maybe even a little upbeat when he was talking about something so sad?
What instruments stand out to you in the song?
Why do you think he was so focused on Vietnam and not the other wars that have happened in the past?
Do you think this song can still be applied to what is going on today?
I think the song feels upbeat but has a sad side because he is talking about a sad subject.
ReplyDeleteIt might have changed there ideas on how the war affects everyone including the people that aren't fighting it. Today it might remind people that stuff like that did happen and we are still fighting in a war.
I think he thought that people are more likely to listen to the song if it was upbeat.
I hear a lot of drums and guitar.
I think he focused on vietnam because it was happening at the time.
I think this song could be applied to the wars that are happening now.
